Shaun Galeís new-look Hawks gained a stern test at Westleigh Park last night, going down to four unanswered second half goals to a first team Portsmouth side at Westleigh Park.

Summer signings Chris Holland, Lee Peacock, Mark Nwokeji and Craig Braham-Barrett all made their debuts in a full strength Hawks side, along with the familiar returning face of Player of the Season Jake Newton.

The Hawks held their Championship opponents to a stalemate in the first half, but finally conceded on the hour when Ryan Williamsís cross was headed on for Joel Ward to finish. Hayden Mullins added a second six minutes later, and Dave Kitson and Luke Varney added the third and fourth to put the game beyond the hosts.
