|The Hawks beat off competition from rival sides including Dorchester Town to sign highly regarded Chukki Eribenne on August 5th 2003. Still only 22, he started his footballing career as a youth player at Coventry City just months after Liam Daish left the then Premiership side. After a year there he moved to AFC Bournemouth in June 2000, signing a three year contract that would see him make just over 50 appearances in all for the Cherries. After starting well on his debut with a goal against Bristol Rovers, Eribenne failed to secure a regular starting position, and during the final months of his tenure in Dorset spent time on loan with conference side Hereford United.
