Carlsberg to continue sponsorship deal

Wed Oct 29, 2008 : 15:55

Brewing giants Carlsberg have announced a new deal that will see the company continue to sponsor the Hawks for another three seasons, with a similar six-figure deal to the one arranged in 2006. The Hawks will continue to sport the Carlsberg brand on all three kits, famously brought to public attention in January when sponsorship rules meant that the Hawks couldn’t display the Carlsberg logo as well as Liverpool in their FA Cup tie, resulting in the Hawks wearing special one off ‘Probably…’ shirts for the occasion. The Hawks are delighted to have renewed the relationship. Speaking today, club Secretary Trevor Brock said, “In these uncertain financial times it is fantastic to have a name such as Carlsberg continue to show interest in our club. The deal also includes bonuses and incentives based on our progress in the FA Cup and FA Trophy, which will only serve to stoke the team’s appetite for the forthcoming tie with Brentford.”
