hsc tuesday at gosport and beyond?

Postby ade » Sat Jan 04, 2020 7:35 pm

looking forward to the above tuesday eve! 8-)

i appreciate it's a competition that splits our fans opinion and our awesome manager, it's safe to say, is not a fan of... :?

and i get it was 4th. priority for us but now must be 2nd? nothing compared to our quest for promotion but a great trophy to win for an unprecedented 3rd. time on the bounce and the 4th. time in 5 years. after it took us 16 seasons to win?

great way for our squad players to get some good minutes in the tank and to integrate some academy players into the rigours of men's senior footie action.... absolutely best training sesh we could ask for....

i also get we've got 9 games in jan but then we have loadsa free midweek dates?

i think the hsc was devalued by us entering the portsmouth senior cup.... it was put on equal footing by some hawks fans when it so isn't.

in the psc we came up against us pompey reserves and paulsgrove reserves, not pretty, although these teams gave excellent accounts of themselves against strong hawks first team squads :geek:

you don't get that in the hsc and we will have to be bang on the money to progress to the quarter-finals tuesday,
cant wait!

and how good was that 3-0 win with a clean sheet for our academy keeper!  8-)

two from alfie and a cracker from jonah.

but basically a great all round performance which did the hsc proud!

I enjoyed the game despite the wind and rain trying its best to spoil it

Alfie must be pushing for a start up front v Hemel, 2 chances out of nowhere really and finished both superbly, jonah with a piledriver topped the night off.

the young lad in goal did well, i assume kingsley latham has gone back to soton as ollie dennett was wearing his number 13 shirt, ollie had a good game too actually and must be an option for the bench going forwards into the second half of the season

nice to see so many ex hawks, none of which really impressed however. Theo lewis, Matt patterson and josh huggins were all sat behind me in the stand in the second half, patto got the hump on as glenn said hello and good bye to theo..... to which patto chirped up "ive only played for havant 3 times and no ones recognised me" .. made me laugh anyway!

Ade, the u23s play at staplewood or afc totton unless its a big game, then its st. Marys. So I'd guess it'll be totton
