Maidstone Away

a point when it looked for all the world we would get nothing.... until the last 10 minutes when it looked like we might get all 3!

to be fair a point was all we deserved at best, 3 points would have been an absolute steal, is it the mark of a really good team to still get points when you dont play all that well?

Maidstone played to their strengths well, hoof it long and let the fast forwards chase anything. If they still get 2000 people every week to watch that then they are easily pleased, it must be the easiest gig in the world being a Maidstone midfielder as it just sails over your head all day long.

for us it was a strange performance, borne out of the many games we've been asked to play and carrying a few injuries too, we lacked a bit of energy, benny and strakes couldn't get forward as much which meant we didn't really have an outlet ball. they all kept at it though and the second half was much improved. A really confident penalty got us back in it and it was fantastic to see Danny Kedwell score with his first touch, their fans had been giving it to him all game, very amusing!

MOTM Ross Worner by a country mile, some great saves to keep us in it.
