Rory and Ed

Postby Andy S » Thu Jun 13, 2019 10:15 am

I see Dorking have finally confirmed the worst kept secret of the summer. Good luck there chaps. In the spirit of this openness that I keep hearing about will we get a fee for Rory as he had agreed a new deal in April? I’m guessing probably not as the terms of any contract signed would have changed because of the new training hours. Today really hits home how in 12 months we’ve virtually seen our entire squad move on, many of whom were more like family, and in some cases, friends.

Two great signing by Dorking, both easily good enough for a competitive Conference South side.
Possibly the two players I least wanted to leave from last seasons squad.

Seemingly Dorking is one of if not the most local club at this level with Eastbourne & Weymouth probably the same distances each side of the coast?
Just goes to show how far players are prepared/have to travel to play at this level.

Wish Rory & Ed well. Dorking have an impressive squad and set-up. 11 promotions in 19 years is unbelievable. But would you want to watch your football on a plastic pitch ?
