Has left the club...

Similar to Rory, was announced he was staying and shortly after confirmed his departure.

He’s certainly seen some highs and lows at the club and I’m sure has the respect and well wishes of all.

Will he be clocking up the miles to Eastbourne?

I did wonder, once Doswell and Bairdy arrived pushing Shaun to first team coach, after years as Assistant Manager, Manager and then Assistant Manager again, that perhaps it was time to move on. I'm still kind of in shock after 19 years at the club, complete Legend and thoroughly nice fella. I wish him all the very best for the future (i'm sure he'll be back at some point) and i'd bet money if its not announced tomorrow morning, then next week sometime he'll be the new Eastbourne Borough assistant manager. Thanks for everything Shaun. Good Luck.

I would like to thank Shaun for his hard work and 100% commitment over the years, this guy has been HAWKS through and through for many many years and never wavered. A top top HAWKS bloke and a top football guy. I bet he is gutted to be leaving the HAWKS after nearly 20 years.
Thanks Shaun, the HAWKS will be weaker without you

I for one will enjoy the fact that Gale's last act at the club was throwing on a centre-back in an effort to change a game in which we were trailing.
Reserves the right to randomly switch between "glass half full" and "glass half empty" on a whim.

A personal story I have of Galey was away at Maidenhead the last away game of the 09/10 season I think, but we needed a win to keep our playoff hopes alive and was 0.0 at half time was walking around the ground and stopped by the changing room and we could hear the Hawks team talk and never forget straight after my dad said let’s have a let’s listen and I kid you not Galey’s exact words were score an f#####g goal. Just remember thinking that’s it is it? A genuinely funny moment I’ll never forget. Thanks for all your service Galey.
