Bunkum...relying on luck in sport is for people who don't trust their own abilities.
Many of the examples cited in the article are more around the players / officials reaction to an event, i.e. having to take a penalty first or second, or failing to spot a dive in the box - how simulation can be described as 'bad luck' is beyond me!
If you practice, practice, practice, and get as good as you possibly can, randomness, and the way that you react to it, can be controlled.
