an amazing point today as the heed were thwarted in their attempts to get in the play-off bracket :shh:

fair to say we had a mixed bag of results from our relegation battling peers, which sees our 3 point cushion reduced to a point :geek:

that does not detract from a great result, we can only control what we do....

our thanks to northumbria uni for the facilities and to matt richie of the toon for greeting us :P

56 hawks and the rest for a 720 mile round trip

can't wait to see all my chums saturday home to wrexham, or wxm for young people, as our relentless challenge continues unabated

Agreed, Ade. I took the train to Gateshead from Glasgow via Edinburgh and a fine day out it was too.
A resilient and confident display by the Hawks who actually created the better chances, either side of half time.
I inadvertently ended up in the home paddock so was the 57th away fan, though I confess my journey was not a 720 mile round trip.

Crazy ground at Gateshead with the players miles away from the crowd, though I enjoyed my view from the Gods, high above the pitch. They must struggle to get by on crowds of 500 or so and it makes our loyal fans look good with our home crowd regularly into four figures. To be fair the home crowd made quite a din, so what they lack in numbers they made up for in voice. But the same could be said for our traveling choir.

Hope I'm not speaking too soon but I'm more confident than ever we can avoid relegation this year.

Thanks Mate.
I'm sure your mate Robbie, as I am, is mourning the loss of the great Gordon B.
